Jared Knicley

Senior Attorney

Jared Knicley's work focuses on defending imperiled species, protecting communities from harmful chemical spills, ensuring public access to government records on issues of public concern, and enforcing federal clean air, clean water, and safe drinking water laws. Prior to joining NRDC, Knicley clerked for Judge Diana Gribbon Motz on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and Judge Ellen Segal Huvelle on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. He holds a bachelor's degree in urban planning from University of Virginia and a J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was editor-in-chief of the Harvard Environmental Law Review. He is based in NRDC's Washington, D.C., office.
