Jessica Carey-Webb

ACLS/Mellon Public Fellow, Latin America Campaign Advocate

Jessica Carey-Webb's work at NRDC focuses on protecting the Chihuahuan grasslands and on water initiatives in Chile. She joins NRDC as part of the ACLS/Mellon Public Fellows program. She holds a B.A. in Spanish and Latin American studies from the University of Michigan and a PhD in Spanish and Portuguese from the University of Texas at Austin. Her previous research focused on the historical development of the Amazon region. Carey-Webb has lived and worked throughout Latin America, particularly in the Brazilian Amazon and Santiago, Chile. She is based in the Washington, D.C., office.
