Pasadena Water Agreement

The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) has reached a legal settlement of its lawsuit with the City of Pasadena to enforce state regulations issued under California’s Water Conservation in Landscaping Act. During 2015, 2016, and 2017, Pasadena issued scores of building permits that lacked the water efficiency standards for new irrigated landscapes required by the state beginning in 2015. The City also failed to adopt and report on water conservation implementation and enforcement measures.
